This is tempting. But I’m sure I don’t have the coding skillz needed. But $4,500 to work with Google and other mentoring companies over the summer? Yeah, that’d be pretty awesome. It’d put me finishing my master’s degree a semester behind, but it would probably be totally worth it…
edit: Yeah, I just looked at some of the mentor’s proposal idea pages, and I totally wouldn’t be able to do it. (Although Creative Commons’s idea for developing “new tools which support publishing of content licensed with a Creative Commons license” would fit in pretty well with my open access publishing ideals…I just have more ideas than coding know-how at the moment.) Great opportunity, though, for someone!
