I decided two columns wasn’t enough again, and went totally overboard for four. :) And I totally kicked css and php butt. Okay, just a little bit. Whatever. My only concern is that I have a widescreen monitor, which always throws off my sense of width. Someone with 1024×768, how’s the width? Is there any room to make it wider without invoking a horizontal scrollbar, or is it already full-screen?

Speaking of web stuff, at the last English Graduate Student Association (hereafter EGSA) meeting, I got volunteered to help get the EGSA website up to date, since it hasn’t been updated since, oh, 2001. Yeah. Should be fun! Hopefully we can get the IT department to let us install WordPress or something on it to use as a CMS. I’m so totally over static pages. And hopefully the guy who’s the chair of the technology committee (actually, I think he’s the whole technology committee–plus me, now, I guess–hey, it’s the English department, what do you expect?) will be onboard with WordPress as a CMS, because the other CMS solutions I’ve tried (Joomla, Drupal) were far too powerful and confused the hell out of me. I *heart* WordPress. The bad thing is I’m getting so many WordPress-requiring ideas, and now I’m going to be really bummed if they won’t let us use it. OR!!! We could just do it ourselves. Why does it need to be on school servers? Hmmmm….

I agree with Mark. The new layout is MUCH better. !!
  • I really didn't do too much to it. The designer did a great job to start with. But thanks. :)
