Featured Video: The Road Trailer

After what seems like YEARS of waiting (okay, MONTHS), there’s finally a trailer out for John Hillcoat’s adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s Pulitzer-winning The Road. And here it is. Strangely, it seems a little brighter than I would’ve expected, but maybe I was reading too much darkness into the book. Aside from that, it looks great, and I can’t wait to see it. The Road opens October 16th.

Eh, brighter??? I don't know if I can handle such a happy, sunny, cheerful movie! Maybe I'll just read the book.

thanks, Jandy for this uplifting start to a new day! :)

LOL! If you'd read the book, though…there's hope in the book, and it's not really depressing, but I got the sense that everything was grey and sort of like walking in a fog all the time. No sunshine at all, not able to see farther than a few hundred feet. By comparison, the trailer seems brighter than my imagination envisioned the book.

Oh, and you should read the book. It's fantastically written. If you like minimalist writing, and I do.
