Top ten! No more judges saving people! All up to America! Which actually kinda sucks, because America has not been what I’d call intelligent about who should be in the Bottom Three. And I even voted last week, so yes, I get to say that. Lauren, you better be stepping it up, girl. We lost Anya over you, and while I get that from a solo point of view, you’ve got a long way to go to match her as a partner. Are they drawing partners this week? Yes, they are. :( I miss my couples once they’re gone.

Mia’s the guest judge, so no esoteric contemporary routine from her, but hopefully we can have a totally awesome weird-ass Wade Robson routine. Ooh, there’s Wade now! Yay Wade! Ooh, is he choreographing their solos? That’ll be good–take the pressure off the dancers from having to choreograph their solos and let them focus on the, you know, dancing.

edit – Now with video and results talk.

Lauren and Pasha
style: hip-hop

So Lauren gets my Pasha. Meh. And they have hip-hop? This could be not good. Well, it could’ve been a lot worse. I enjoyed the choreography, and they danced it well. Actually, Pasha did quite well, especially for not being anything close to a hip-hop dancer. Yep, I feel a little better about keeping Lauren, but still.

Jaimie

She is lovely. Damn, Cat is tall. I forget that every week. Jaimie still doesn’t totally have me, though. We’ll see. Did Wade say they’re all doing the same solo dance? Actually, as much as I like Wade, I’m going to get extremely tired of that. The song really gets on my nerves, for one thing…

Dominic

Okay, see, it looked all right when Jaimie did it, but it just looks dumb when Dom does it. Nothing against Dom, the choreography just doesn’t fit him. Ugh. See, I’m tired of it already, and I’ve still got eight more to see.

Sabra and Kameron
style: contemporary

This pairing could be good. No, Kameron, you have the coolest hair. Good, but not great. Man, another week of tearing Kameron down. But he’s hot, y’all! Oh, that’s not enough. Right. I can see what they’re saying…I didn’t really connect with them. A bit on the boring side in general.

Sara

Well, she appropriated that for herself more than Dominic did. Maybe that’s what they’re going for, seeing who can make generic choreography fit their own personality and style? If that’s the case, I give Sara the edge so far. (I’m also biased by already liking Sara a lot.)

Pasha

I’m sorry, Pasha. I love you, but I am getting SO TIRED of these I’m not sure I can watch you. Whose stupid idea was this, anyway?

Lacey and Danny
style: samba

Ooh, Lacey and Danny could work well. And she’s sure to be up for a samba. Dmitry!!! I almost didn’t recognize him with his shirt on. ;) Ooh, I love the way the choreography is going with the music. I’m a fan. Best tonight so far for my money. Heidi-in-the-audience spotting!

Lauren

She went after it, I’ll give you that.

Neil

Sorry, didn’t really pay attention. I’m sure his jumps were good.

Sabra

Best scream yet!

Jaimie and Dominic
Viennese Waltz

Who’s Tony Redpath? Do we know them? A Spanish Viennese Waltz? Oookay. That skirt is awesome. I would get so tangled up they wouldn’t be able to extricate me for the rest of the show. Dude, I thought he was just about to eat her face. Hmm…actually, I liked Jaimie more than usual that time. Let’s see what the judges say, because I’m not sure how the Spanish stuff worked with the Viennese stuff. Apparently the judges didn’t either.

Kameron
Lacey
Danny

Liked them, but I’m so sick of the routine I’m not even trying to critique them.

Sara and Neil
style: disco

Neil, don’t mess Sara up. And disco, yay. *eyeroll* Dude, but that actually rocked. Sara impresses me more EVERY SINGLE WEEK. She’s quickly becoming one of my top three or four favorites. And Neil stepped right up there and did great, too.

Best Tonight: Lacey and Danny, Sara and Neil, Lauren and Pasha

Results

Hmm…did Danny just kill everyone in the opening number? Is that what was going on? Couldn’t really tell. Oh, it’s a Mia routine–that’s why it was lovely but I had no idea what it was about. Sometime I want the audience to yell out something completely NOT “judges” when Cat prompts them. Can we talk about the way at least some of the audience didn’t like the use of the SAME CHOREOGRAPHY instead of the possible offense caused by anti-war message? I have no problem with an anti-war message; but being bored for half the show? That causes me to have a problem. Hee, Nigel admitted he was bored by the fifth time through it. I feel a little better, then.

Fastforwarding the guest person.

Sabra is…safe! Yay!
Jaimie is…in the bottom four. I think she’s a lovely dancer, but I wouldn’t be horribly sorry to lose her.
Lacey is…safe! Woot! So very happy.
Between Lauren and Sara, Sara better be safe. Because she’s awesome. And I don’t hate Lauren, but she’s starting to annoy me, and besides, Sara’s better.
YES! Sara is safe! America has some amount of intelligence this week. Let’s see how they do on the guys. I had no idea which guys to pick for the bottom last night, so I…didn’t.

Neil is…safe. That actually sort of worries me. I like him, and I liked him last night, but overall, he may be one of the less interesting ones left.
Danny is…safe! Whew! I’m very glad. He’s growing on me every week.
Dominic is…in danger. I’m not surprised. He’s been doing well every week until this week.
That leaves Pasha and Kameron. The question is whether Kameron has his own fanbase, or whether Lacey was carrying them all these weeks. I’d keep my fake boyfriend Pasha over Kameron, but not by much.
PASHA IS SAFE! YAY! I’m actually happy with the bottom four; as happy as I can be, when I generally like them all so much. Maybe America is better at this than the judges are…nah, don’t want to give us that much credit.

And now, the guilt-solos. “You can’t change your vote, but don’t you wish you’d voted for her/him?” Wow, I’d forgotten how much fun Dom is in hip-hop. How can you stand up after doing all that head-spinning? SRSLY. Okay, who said Timbaland could rip off Sinnerman?

Lauren vs. Jaimie – I don’t really care. I think I’d say Jaimie. And…yes, it’s Jaimie going home. I think she’s a beautiful dancer, but she just didn’t really connect with me (and apparently, a majority of other people) at the same level that many of the others did.
Kameron vs. Dominic – Again, I have no idea. I don’t even know who I’d keep. But Kameron’s going home. Apparently Lacey was carrying him. I didn’t notice it as much as the judges did, but oh well.
