It just entailed far too much time thinking about films I don&#8217;t want to see and finding trailers for obscure films that may or may not ever come anywhere near me or anyone I know.  So I&#8217;m going to do trailers on a much more haphazard, as-I-see-them basis.  Here&#8217;s one I ran across via <a href=\"http:\/\/weblogs.variety.com\/thompsononhollywood\/2007\/06\/trailer-preview.html\" target=\"_blank\">Anne Thompson<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.spout.com\/showroom\/2007\/06\/margot_at_the_wedding_trailer.html.php\" target=\"_blank\">Karina Longworth<\/a>.  It&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000173\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nicole Kidman<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000492\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jennifer Jason Leigh<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0085312\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Black<\/a> in <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0757361\/\" target=\"_blank\">Margot at the Wedding<\/a><\/i>, from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000876\/\" target=\"_blank\">Noah Baumbach<\/a>, who directed the well-received-but-as-yet-unseen-by-me <i><a href=\"\" target=\"_blank\">The Squid and the Whale<\/a><\/i>.  It looks good.  And it looks like it&#8217;s the good side of Nicole Kidman, who I swear has schizophrenic acting tendencies (i.e., the dumb, annoying one from <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0374536\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bewitched<\/a><\/i> and <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0327162\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Stepford Wives<\/a><\/i> and the actual good one from <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0274558\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Hours<\/a><\/i> and <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0276919\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dogville<\/a><\/i>), which makes me happy because I always want to love her, and then she does stupid roles and disappoints me.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/us.video.aol.com\/player\/launcher?pmmsid=1929283&#038;autoplay=0&#038;ar=us_en_video_408x406_snag\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"408\" height=\"408\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size: 0.6em; font-family:tahoma;\">Powered by <a href=\"http:\/\/video.aol.com\">AOL Video<\/a> <\/div>\n<p>(It hurts my soul a little to use anything associated with AOL, but the player is actually pretty nice&#8230;and at least they have embeddable media&#8211;I&#8217;m looking at you, Yahoo!Movies.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve stopped doing the trailers for opening movies every week.
